Dr. Clay A. Beshore, DDS
Meet Dr. Beshore
Dr. Beshore is a native Kansan and has lived in Kansas most of his life. He graduated summa cum laude from Wichita State University with his Bachelor of Science in both biology and chemistry. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he was recognized with the award for excellence in periodontics and prosthodontics. Following dental school he completed the United States Air Force General Practice Residency. This residency allowed Dr Beshore a higher level of training in many of the dental specialties such as periodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and conscious sedation. Dr. Beshore has been in private practice in Kansas since 1989 and joined Dr. Brittingham at Legends Dental in 2006.
Dr. Beshore enjoys all areas of general dentistry. Full mouth reconstruction and cosmetic dentistry have been professionally rewarding for him as well as life changing for his patients. Dr. Beshore has completed advanced training in comprehensive and rehabilitative dentistry at the Dawson Center, Spear Institute, Arrowhead and the Dr Dick Barnes Group and training in dental implant placement and restoration at the Zimmer Institute.
Dr. Beshore leads an active lifestyle including hobbies such as hiking, bicycling, working out, riding his motorcycle and traveling. Snow skiing has been a long time passion for Dr. Beshore and has brought him great pleasure. He enjoys doing these hobbies alongside his wife of over 30 years, Stephanie. Stephanie, a dental hygienist, is also a member of the Legends Dental Center team and the two met while in college.
Dr. Beshore and his wife, Stephanie, have three adult children. Chelsea is currently a law student in New York City. Allegra lives in Kansas City, where she is an accountant. Isaac, the youngest, volunteers at Midnight Farm assisting special needs children with horseback riding.
Charity and giving back to the community are very important to Dr. Beshore. He spends time volunteering with his local church, First United Methodist of Lawrence, and has been a long time sponsor for children through World Vision and Special Olympics, as well as numerous charitable organizations that his children have worked with. Throughout his career, Dr. Beshore has given back to his community through pro bono dental work. Currently, he is working with the Douglas County Dental Clinic and Donated Dental Services Organization in providing dental treatment.
